National Open-Mic Listing Platform
A couple month’s back we launched a simple platform for a 100% FREE to use, comedian-generated and moderated national registry of Open Mics, Podcasts, and Zoom Shows. This resource is meant to help producers and performers find one another and exchange meaningful transparent feedback we can all benefit from. We want to help you achieve your personal goals and take your entertainment career to the next level because like you, we’ve struggled too.
We’ve slept in our cars, been bumped for second rate acts, performed for the “exposure”, driven 100 miles for gigs that didn’t even cover your gas, you name it… we’ve been there. Overcoming misery is almost a right of passage for a live performer, but at Comedy Carousel we don’t believe it has to be the soul of one. The dark days should eventually end, the bitter years eventually fade. After we’ve owned our scars and put in our time, there’s supposed to be a reprieve. We are that helping hand. We are the family of professionals that want nothing more than to see you succeed on the stage.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s get one thing very clear… We do not work with problematic people and the behavior, civility, and conduct of our performers is closely monitored. As you probably already know, there are problematic people in positions of power and the entertainment industry is no exception. We at Comedy Carousel have no interest in providing support to such individuals.
If anyone’s conduct becomes problematic, either at a show or on one of our community pages, they may be removed from Comedy Carousel. As Comedy Carousel moves forward with it’s inevitable domination of the universe we ask that you remain patient with the builders of this platform. They work REALLY hard to make you look good and keep you working. The least we owe them is civility. If there is a problem, there is a solution. Getting to that solution will always have a process and refining the processes of this industry is the #1 goal of Comedy Carousel. It’s pretty much the entire reason we exist. That being said, If anyone’s behavior becomes counter productive to the end goals of this community for any reason, they will be removed from it.
Before you proceed with registration and are accepted into our network, we ask that you review our corporate policies. We take them seriously and you will be expected to abide by them. Failure to do so will have negative consequences.
